A good Samaritan couple in Bohol who distributes aid in some of the provinces in Bohol. The couple Elizabeth and Terence Martin not only give houses and other assistance; they also provide scholarships to multiple students in the provinces.
There are around 59 scholars they are helping within different schools within the provinces. Because of this, multiple of their scholars, graduate from Elementary, Senior High, some are having Moving Up programs from Junior High and some graduated from College. The couple were able to attend some of the graduations of their scholars, and some were not due to the high numbers of graduates from their scholars.
In a statement, Elizabeth Martin said, “Noong Nag College ako dati sa Cebu, walang-wala ako hindi ko alam ano na gagawin ko ngunit sa hindi inaasahan may isang taong tumulong sa akin, siya yung nag udyok sa akin na malagay ako sa maayos na sitwasyon. Kaya ngayon, binalik lang namin kung ano yung binigay ng Panginoon, kumbaga Paying it Forward.” (“When I was in college in Cebu, I had nothing. I didn’t know what to do, but unexpectedly someone helped me, he was the one who motivated me to put myself in a good situation. So now, we just give back to what the Lord gave us, like Paying it Forward.”).
These good samaritans not only help these students but also give them the confidence and opportunity to achieve their dreams. Salute to this good couple. The Lord will surely bless them abundantly.
